High Strength Flux Core Wire

E101T1-K3C
According to AWS A5.29 E101T1-K3C

Application: Applicable to ships, Bridges, offshore platforms, pipelines, port machinery and other welding.

Characters: This type of flux-cored wire is suitable for various welding positions. It provides a stable and smooth arc, minimizing spatter during the welding process and thus reducing the need for post-weld cleanup. The welds produced have a neat appearance, enhancing the aesthetic quality of the welded parts. Additionally, the slag is easily removed, minimizing its impact on weld quality. Furthermore, the process generates minimal smoke, which helps improve the welding environment and enhances operator comfort. Overall, this welding method offers exceptional process performance, delivering efficient and reliable results across a range of welding applications.

Instruction:

1. A wind barrier should be employed while welding in windy conditions, as strong winds might create porosity.

2. To avoid cooling cracks in the weld, proper preheating can be performed based on the steel grade and workpiece thickness, and the inter-track temperature can be controlled.

3. Preheating and interpass temperature during multi-pass welding:150±15℃ .

4. Before welding, rust, oil, moisture and other impurities must be removed from the weldment.

5. Using CO2 gas welding, the purity must be greater than 99.8%, gas flow control at 20-25L/min.

6. The stickout length should be control within 15-25mm.

7.The stickout length should be control within 15-25mm.After the welding wire is unpacked, attention should be paid to: take moisture-proof measures, use up as soon as possible, and do not leave the unused welding wire naked in the air for a long time.
